from the 1st of July till the 27th of September 2021 Dumortierlaan 51, 8300 Knokke
Thank you for sharing our story, meeting our objects and having taken the time to come and see us.
M AAH and guests
During our stay we welcomed a fine selection of makers and artists. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our lovely guests for taking part in this journey! We have loved this opportunity.
GUEST Annelies Timmermans
The handbags by Belgian designer Annelies Timmermans will never go out of style and are designed to enjoy season after season.
Annelies works directly with Italian craftsmen and does the follow-up of the prototypes on site. The combination of their craftsmanship and her conceptual designs always results in a series of quality handbags that are practical and refined.
GUEST Britt Crepain
"Life is whatever we make it. The traveller is the journey. What we see is not what we see but who we are." These words by the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa strongly resonate with interior designer and photographer Britt Crepain.
She always follows her instinct and everywhere she goes, she looks for a certain dynamic. In her pictures, Britt succeeds to capture the atmosphere that at that particular moment calls out the loudest.
GUEST GHESQ
"The first thing I do in the morning is check my oven and make a coffee. Ceramics is not a job, but a way of life. That is the essence of this craft: each piece is a snapshot. No two cups are the same," says ceramist Koen Ghesquière.
"When you work with clay, you have to let go all expectations and let coincidence in. Playfulness is at the heart of everything I make. That is why I never find it difficult to create something new. The inspiration is literally at my fingertips."
GUEST Empreintes Matières
Isabelle Yamamoto loves to play with materials and structures, and she enjoys sharing her love of aesthetics. Her creations make living places warm and cozy, and transform them into true refuges for the wandering soul.
Isabelle also creates in a eco-responsible way and thinks about how she could recycle and give a second life to ancient, vintage textiles sourced in France. Her search for these unique fabrics is certainly as intense as ours for our objects.
GUEST Jeu de Fil
Founder Lieve Decorte loves to work with other passionate designers. A multidisciplinary approach that is very much inspiring! This collection, for example, is inspired by the ceramics of Caro-K.
Lieve: "Linen and ceramics have been writing history together for a long time, and this collection gives a contemporary interpretation to the table setting. It reflects our love for durable materials and an eye for detail."
Jeu De Fil uses linen stock material from a family owned spinning mill located in Belgium. Jacquard woven in Belgium in limited numbers.
GUEST Nathalie Hunter
Nathalie her Soul Ceramics are created from a place of deep meditation. From a desire to connect with nature, the earth and the nature of your individual self.
Unique and handmade. Each piece carries this energy within it. Strong and durable, designed for every day life.
GUEST NONNOO
Pure beauty and simplicity. That's the best way to describe the refined furniture and custom-made pieces from NONNOO by Belgian designer Arnaud Waelkens.
GUEST PARTONS
Each get-away starts with packing luggage and Delphine Van Damme of PARTONS intends to do this in a classy and organised way.
The travel accessories by PARTONS are designed to take care of your smallest treasures during your biggest adventures
GUEST Woche
Woche is a non-seasonal collection of jewellery handcrafted by Clarisse Bruynbroeck. We love the particular understated aesthetic of her collection: strong in its subtlety and delicate in its rawness.
